The hotel is located right in the heart of Vienna, behind the Peterskirche and 200 meters from Stephansdom. In addition to being very central, is also very quiet. It occupies an elegant, XVIII century historical building (the hotel dates back to 1854). The interior with its decorations is of a classical, XIX century viennese style. Everything is clean and in order. I had booked a room for 1 person in the New Year's period. The room was not big, but very comfortable and well serviced. The price respect to the location and the period chosen was also competitive. The breakfast hall is wide and with a good selection of food for breakfast. The staff at the reception was also very polite and efficient. Highly recommended for a stay in Vienna, especially for people wanting to visit its main attractions.

I travelled alone and stayed in the hotel for 4 days. The hotel is in a great location which nears the famous attraction: St. Stephan church, St. Peter church, and also the state opera! The room is also clean and quiet. I’ll definitely stay here again if I visit Vienna again!!!

We stayed at Hotel Wandl for 8 days in December 2024. Our stay was outstanding in every way. Everyone who worked there was very friendly, courteous, and professional. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The hotel is centrally located so it was very easy to sightsee, shop, or eat. If you are planning a trip to Vienna, we highly recommend a stay at Hotel Wandl.

The most perfect location - It is literally 1 minute from Stephanplatz and located right in the beautiful Vienna city centre. It was super convenient to be able to go back to the hotel for a quick break between sightseeing. The single economy room was smaller than it seemed in the photo but was new and clean. The breakfast room was so Viennese and lovely. Would be even better if there was a fridge in the room, but you can always ask reception to store something in the room for you.

Meravigliosa struttura al centro di Vienna, a 2 passi dal Duomo. Camere di dimensioni più che generose, pulite perfettamente quotidianamente. Colazione molto abbondante a buffet. Sento peraltro di segnalare la cortesia e gentilezza del personale, che si è reso disponibile a contattare una farmacia di turno, nonché dotarci di termometro e permetterci di portare la colazione in camera per mio figlio influenzato. Torneremo di certo, grazie allo staff di Wandl.

We had the most warm welcome the staff were so accommodating. Our flight was early & they allowed us to check in. Our room was beautiful & large over looking the church & hear the bells.. From our balcony we could see the horse & carriage rides. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel is wonderful & in the center close to everything. The bar man on a night even remembered our order & room numbers, he was so friendly. Desk staff ordered our taxis’s & booked shows for us. I would not hesitate to recommend this amazing hotel & will return. Hotel Wandl your staff from house keeping to breakfast, Barman to & reception made our stay extra special. Thank you.

The hotel is located in an excellent and quiet location. The room was satisfactory/good. Breakfast and service were good. I would recommend to others.

Best hotel ever! Every employee was helpful, spoke English, and was knowledgeable. The breakfast buffet is AMAZING! I'd never had such a soft, buttery croissant. The room was perfect for a solo traveler. Their shuttle to the airport was a great price, cheaper than Uber. The hotel let me keep my suitcase in a secured area when I checked out. The definition of hospitality is Hotel Wandl. The price during Christmas market season was unbeatable and the location of this hotel is perfect. I'll stay here again whenever I visit Vienna. Thank y'all for an amazing experience!

I loved this hotel. Bed was comfortable and the room had a great view. Staff were attentive and able to answer questions. Breakfast was included and a wonderful array of choices.

Luxurious and quiet hotel well located in the historic center of Vienna. Our room was very clean. The breakfast with fresh products allowed us to start our visit to Vienna on the right foot.

Location was excellent, just minutes away from the main shopping area but really quiet. Room was so clean with a coffee machine and good bathroom, toiletries, bathrobe and a couple of English tv channels. My only criticism is that the room was too warm but cooled down after opening the door. I liked this hotel so much I have booked again to revisit in September as there is so much to do in Vienna!

Excellent location from which to explore Vienna. Comfortable hotel with helpful staff. We would return.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Spoke English better than some native speakers. Room was cleaned well every day and reasonably sized for one person. The breakfast was excellent and filling. Should I ever return to Vienna, I'll be staying here.

I love this hotel for its location! This was my second time staying here and I always look forward to the breakfast and hospitality of the staff. There is a small fitness room with a treadmill, elliptical, and bike. At this price point for the convenience of being in the middle of Vienna, this place is a gem! For the holiday season, Stephansplatz Christmas Market was steps away, as was the subway. We will be back!

The location was excellent, close to Stephansplatz and Graben but very quiet. The hotel is modern in terms of decor and amenities but still retains an old-fashioned charm. Our rooms were functional but very clean and comfortable, and good value for money. Staff were without exception friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel in a fabulous location. Very nice breakfast in a spacious dining room. We stayed in a Superior room overlooking St Peter’s Church. Great sound proofing as the 7.am bells didn’t disturb us at all. The room was lovely, very big, stylish and very comfortable with a sofa and chairs and a coffee table. The only thing it was missing was a mini bar as it would have been nice to be able to sit down and enjoy an aperitif before dinner. As it was, we never really used the seating area but did use the small bar area a couple of times. We would definitely stay at the Hotel Wandl if we ever return to Vienna and would recommend it.

Simply excellent and highly recommended. Beautiful hotel. My room was most satisfactory. Breakfast superb. Reception/service very courteous and efficient. Central location really helped in going about the city. Thank you!
